Ultrawave Support Dental Education Centre

As part of our commitment to supporting the dental profession, Ultrawave have provided the latest Hygea 2 ultrasonic dental cleaner to LonDEC, the London Dental Education Centre.

We originally provided an earlier model, the Hygea 1250 to this state-of-the-art education and training centre which is based at the Waterloo Campus of King's College London.

Chris Czyrko, Sales and Marketing Manager of Ultrawave said:

"To help maintain the leadership of this wonderful hub of learning, we decided what better than to ensure LonDEC has the very latest technology.

We have been involved with LondDEC since 2009 and this is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the cutting edge ultrasonic cleaning technology to the dental professionals who train at the centre."

Opened in late 2009, the £2.4 m high-specification dental education facility is a joint enterprise between King’s College and the NHS London Deanery.

Kemi Bakare, Sensory Supervisor at LonDEC, which provides postgraduate education and continuing professional development training courses for every member of the dental team, said:

"As we are a training facility this is a great ultrasonic cleaner to showcase especially for demonstrations. The validation on the Hygea 2 is reassuring and the accreditations are a bonus which carries a lot of weight.

The added feature which we love about this is the memory card for data collection which is an ideal way to keep paperless data especially as we are doing demos, so good for training."
