Retrofitting
Submersible transducers can be retrofitted into any existing tanks to provide ultrasonic cleaning benefits in standard systems. OEM customers can also use Ultrawave submersible transducers to manufacture wash plants for their clients.
Subs and Gens
Each submersible transducer is accompanied by generators ranging from 300 Watt to 2 Kilowatt, depending on the size of the transducer. The generator will either have its own control for the ultrasonics, or will be operable from a PLC control system.
Where multiple submersible transducers are used, Ultrawave supply the generators in a 19 inch cubicle system, that is either air-fan cooled or air-conditioned. This reduces heat generation that normally leads to inefficiency or even break down. |
Suitability
Ultrawave's policy is that tanks above a certain capacity (usually 100 litres) are more suitable to submersible transducers than traditional ultrasonic "Horn Pillars", bonded directly to the system.
Improved Serviceability
The cleaning tank is often part of a much larger system incorporating rinse tanks and dryers. Using submersible transducers means that any servicing or repairs necessary to the cleaning system can be carried out without the whole system having to be removed from the production area. If the transducers then need maintaining or replacing, the process can be achieved without significant downtime. This improved serviceability reduces costs significantly, meaning the whole system need not be removed from site and replaced for new. |
